Obituary

Glenn Edward Nunn 77, a resident of Ocala, Florida passed away on July 18, 2021, in Ocala.  He was born on September 2, 1943, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Glenn graduated from Capitol Hill High School, Oklahoma City.  Glenn worked for Western Electric Company/Lucent Technologies for over 30 years where he was president of I.B.E.W. (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers), LOCAL 2021.   He was on the National Bargaining Committee and helped negotiate two National Contracts with A.T. & T.

He was appointed to the I.B.E.W. International Staff in 1984, assigned to the 7th District Office, and retiring in January 2002.   He loved to fish and was an avid golfer, getting several Holes-In-One.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years Sara Nunn of Ocala, Fl.; Daughter, Angela Dragano (Glen), Aiken, S.C.; Son, Brian Mathis (Madison), Stuart, Fl.; and Daughter Ashley Hope, Suwanee, Ga.    Grandchildren:  Austin Nunn, Clint Kyle, McKenna Kyle, Lawson Mathis, Jordan Mathis, Miles Mathis, Evan Hope, and Sophia Hope. A Brother, Everett Nunn, Newcastle, Ok.; and two Sisters, Glenna Andro, Atoka, Ok. and Judy Pierce (Johnny), Lexington, Ok.  Glenn is survived by 4 Great-Grandchildren and many extended family members.

Glenn was preceded in death by his daughter Deborah Shephard; his parents, Glenn Otto and Edith Nunn; and his brother, Robert Nunn.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held, Sunday, September 5, in Ocala, Fl.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County or your local Hospice Organization.
