Obituary

Glenna Mae Forcade Lindfield

Glenna was born March 22,1937 to Verna Parrish and Glen Forcade in Omaha, NE and left this world to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven on May 8, 2024.

Glenna married Roy Ray Lindfield  in 1957 (divorced 1998) and they raised their family in Honey Creek, IA (1963-1976) then Elkhorn, NE (1976-1996).

Glenna grew up as an only child to a divorced mother and her proudest accomplishment was lovingly raising five children who are “good people and they all like each other”, as she would often tell others. She was a caring and supportive influence in her children’s lives until her death and will be sorely missed.

Glenna was an avid seamstress, often making clothing for her children and husband. She oversaw a huge family garden and at summer’s end, canning tomatoes and green beans and freezing corn were an extended family event. In later years, she enjoyed genealogy research, crocheting, knitting and quilting and gifted many quilts to family members.

Glenna was a longtime USPS worker and retired in 2002 to Laguna Vista, TX, near her daughter Sabrina. She was active in her church, including planning, procuring, and cooking dinner for the weekly evening church service. In Glenna’s final years (2018- 2024) she lived in St. Petersburg, FL near her daughter Denise.

Glenna was preceded in death by her mother, Verna Parrish Forcade Wolf (1917-1991) and son Christian (1969). She is survived by her children Denise McCarthy (Patrick)- St. Petersburg, FL, Rochelle Depke- Bennington, NE, Sabrina Haecke (Randy)- Laguna Vista, TX, Roy Lindfield, Jr. (Suzanne)- Castle Pines, CO, Lance Lindfield- Denver, CO, seven grandchildren and one great grandson.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association are suggested. Glenna will be buried in the Ashland, NE cemetery surrounded by her ancestors. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
