Obituary
Gloria (June) Bernard of Ft Myers, FL, age 81, went to be with the Lord on June 2, 2021. She was born on June 23, 1939, in Flint Michigan, the only child of the late Wolford and Della Marquand. After graduating from Flint Central, June attended Baker Community College and worked at Ternstedt as a teletype operator. In 1959, she married the love of her life, Bob Bernard. They were married almost 61 years until his death in June 2020. After having children, June dedicated her life to being an amazing homemaker and the best mom and grandmother you could ever hope for. Her life revolved around faith and family. In the ‘80s, she enjoyed working as a church secretary. She loved baking and cooking for family and church potlucks. June and Bob retired to Ft Myers, Florida in 1987. She worked for several years in the bakery at Publix where she had a positive influence on customers and employees alike. Hobbies included cooking, baking, watching old movies, knitting, reading, and eating out! She was a former member of McGregor Baptist Church. June is survived by her daughter Robin Wiltse and grandson Travis Wiltse of Ft Myers, FL; son-in-law Kenneth Wiltse of Moses Lake, WA; granddaughter Brittany Piwowar (Robbie), great-granddaughter Michaela (Mickie), grandson Brock Bernard, and daughter-in-law Jana Bernard of Ft Myers, FL; very special in-laws Doug and Lynda McDonald, and Freda Blunt; and several special nieces and nephews. June was preceded in death by her parents Woody and Della, her husband Bob, and sons Brian and Mickey. Special thanks to Pastor Frank Brand.
