Obituary
Gloria “Lolly” Lynn Brufladt, age 73, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away at 9:30am on Monday, October 24, 2022 at Brookdale in Cape Coral, FL. She loved cooking for family and friends, and everyone loved her fried chicken. She loved being with her dog, Duchess, and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. On most weekends you could find her cutting hair at her house where her customers would be sitting in a vintage barber chair while likely enjoying a beverage.
Gloria is a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and Amvets Ladies Auxiliary. She is also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion Auxiliary and the Moose.
Gloria Brufladt was born on October 8, 1949 in Bryan, Ohio to Harold and Clara (VanTone) Annette. She went to school in Stryker, Ohio and graduated from Stryker High School. In 1968, she attended and graduated from the Ohio State Barber School in Toledo, OH. She married Einar Brufladt on October 6, 2016, and he preceded her in death on May 19, 2022.
Gloria is survived by her daughter Renee Roggow (Nagel) of Fort Myers, FL and her son Ryan Nagel of Union City, MI; 4 grandchildren, Kalli, Alec, Jezelle, and Ayla; and sister Clara Mae (Dale) Kagy of Westerville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Mary Jane “Cookie” Brodbeck and Joann VanPoppel, and brother William “Skip” Annette.
There will be a celebration of life on November 5, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the VFW, 2225 S M 37, Baldwin, MI.
There will also be a celebration of life on November 20, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the VFW, 23204 Freedom Ave, Port Charlotte, FL.

I will forever remember Lolly’s big smile- and sarcasm, hahaha. She was a “character”… never knowing what she’d do next, but taking the risk anyway- as long as it would be FUN!!
