Obituary
Gloria Faye Aubin, 93, died June 7, 2016, in Orlando of complications of dementia. Born Gloria Faye Ferrari in Windsor, Ontario, in 1922, Gloria spoke fondly of her youth growing up in Windsor. She married the late Joseph W. Aubin in 1947, and together they immigrated to the USA. Gloria was a homemaker, a wonderful mother of 5 and worked in retail.
In 1971, Gloria and Joe made the decision to move from Michigan to Orlando. They especially enjoyed their Florida years— entertaining “snowbird” friends and family, hosting card parties and taking dance lessons. How Joe “suffered” through those dance lessons! Gloria had many hobbies from crafts to gardening but her real passion was ballroom dancing. Her family was proud of how she excelled at this endeavor even at an advanced age.
Gloria Aubin lived her life as a caring friend, neighbor and devoted Catholic. She is survived by her children: Mary Jo (Terry) Groome of Palm Springs, CA, Suzanne (Paul) Tiefry of Branson, MO, Paul (Kathy) Aubin of Leonard, MI, Andrea Aubin and (King Floyd) of Orlando, FL and Matthew (June) Aubin of Orlando, FL. Gloria was pre-deceased by her son, Michael Aubin, her first born. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, all of whom live in various parts of the USA. Gloria is survived by 2 sisters: Annette (Richard) Tuson, Windsor, Ontario and Joanne (Bob) Stone, Oakville, Ontario. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Eva Ferrari, in Chatham, Ontario as well as various cousins and nieces in Canada.
The family is planning a private ceremony at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to: Pet Rescue by Judy, 401 Laurel Av., Sanford FL 32771, Phone: 407-716-5977
