I introduced to Gloria through her very loving daughter Susan, she always made me feel I was part of the family. I just wish that she would of been able to be a part of our wedding ceremony. She will be deeply missed by all.

Gloria and I shared a cubicle at VNA during the last chapter of our employment. However, I have known her for two decades. She was a hard worker with great values and a dry sense of humor.
She was also a kind soul who remained in place until other employees were trained sufficiently to continue the work. She said it was the right thing to do. I marveled at her generosity. Her dry humor was delightful and her intelligence was extraordinary. People like Gloria are worth their weight in gold.

Gloria and I have been friends since 5th grade. It is wonderful to read these entries by her other friends. She was the most loyal, caring person I ever knew. She is forever my best friend.

Aunt Glo was the nicest stern adult I ever knew. Although I'm quite sure hosting 5 boys (and 3 girls) in her already-crowded home for days at a time wasn't easy, she never stopped me and my brothers from having great, loud, rambunctious (and likely destructive) fun. Aunt Glo and Uncle George, and the girls sure hosted great vacations, always treating us as family. My best memory was from a visit in Georgia, when Aunt Glo gave me a thorough tour of her refrigerator before bedtime. She said I could have whatever I wanted, as long as I didn't wake anyone. In the morning, after I had enjoyed several glasses of her totally awesome "white grape juice," Aunt Glo couldn't help but laugh as she told me I that, in fact, I had been drinking Milk. I'm sure the heavens are as open to Aunt Glo as your family's home has always been to your friends.

Gloria and George welcomed me into their home and hearts when I was 19. We have been a part of each other's lives since then. I will miss Gloria and her open heart and sharing ways. Play some bridge with Tom and enjoy your new life.

It always tears a little piece of you when you hear of a friend's passing and I considered Gloria just that. I remember once when she was out and I sent her a get-well, thinking of you card and she sent me a card in return and the card said that "I was her friend" I'm so glad she felt the same about me as I did her. Heaven has gained an angel. My sincerest condolescences to the family.
    With Love & Prayers

I am saddened to learn that Gloria recently passed away. I was Gloria's friend and manager for several years. She was a dream employee. Most importantly, Gloria was a fine person. She made me laugh every day. She was devoted to her children and husband. I remember that she brought a high school picture of herself skipping in her graduation gown to enter in a contest at work. It was my very favorite picture of all those entered. When my mother passed away, I was cleaning out her house and I found a corner wooden pig shelf. I knew she or one of her daughters collected pigs so I brought it to her. She was delighted with it and said her husband was going to use it as a template to make another one. She was so grateful and oddly surprised by her husband's loving devotion to her when she was sick. It was very touching to hear her speak of how wonderful he was to her and how much support he gave her. She seemed to always be surprised by the esteem in which others held her. She was humble, private, funny, smart, hard-working, intuitive, empathetic - just a wonderful person.

Gloria and I met while working at VNA in 1991 or '92 and she was one of the nicest and funniest people I've ever met. You had to pay attention because her humor was very subtle - I'm really going to miss her.

Mom had a wonderful 84 years and Ryan and Caroleena and I will miss her a bunch. We recently found a roll of life savers in an old box (she used to send us life savers all the time). I think she was just telling us she loved us.
