Obituary

Gordon James Weaver died suddenly on Wednesday evening, March 11, 2015. He was a devoted husband to Laurie, faithful father to Noah, Amanda, and Emma. Loving son of Robert and Helen, dear brother to Bruce and John. He was dedicated in his career as a Registered Nurse and was a true and loyal friend to many. His loss is felt very deeply and he will be forever loved and remembered. A Celebration of his life will be held Monday, March 16, 2015 at 3 P.M. at the Apopka Seventh Day Adventist Church 340 Votaw Road, Apopka 32703. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 P.M. at the church. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens in Apopka, Florida.

    I HAD THE PLEASURE OF GROWING UP NEXT DOOR TO THE WEAVER FAMILY . GORD WAS A GREAT FRIEND FOR MANY YEARS AND I LOOKED UP TO HIS BROTHERS BRUCE AND JOHN . LATER IN LIFE GORDS MOTHER HELEN SOLD JOANNE AND I OUR FIRST HOUSE AND HIS FATHER BOB MARRIED US . I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE WHOLE WEAVER FAMILY AS A BIG PART OF WHO I AM TODAY .     We are in shock and so very, very sorry. He was a true friend, always joyful, always ready to lend a hand. The most splendid, big hearted guy most of us ever met. The world has grown colder, darker and quieter with him gone. We will miss him terribly and pray for all who love him.
