Obituary

Guy Mitchell Lundy died at home with his wife by his side, June 27, 2017 at the age of 60 after a long illness.  Guy was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Orlando in 1960.

He graduated from Maynard Evans High School in 1974 and was self-employed until going to work for Walt Disney World in 1980 where he became a metal worker/mechanic/scuba diver. He medically retired from Disney after 27 years.

He will be remembered as a loving husband and father and great friend to many.  He enjoyed 20 years worth of coaching football for the WFA; Women’s Football Alliance, the IWFL; International Women’s Football League and the Pop Warner Ocoee Bulldogs football team.

He leaves behind wife of 41 years, Robin, son Kevin, daughter Allison (Peter Stewart), 2 grandchildren, sister Shirley Loch and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is planned for July 23, 2017 at 1:30 P.M. at Lockhart Church 7601 Edgewater Drive, Orlando, Florida 32810. Baldwin Brothers of Apopka is handling arrangements. Visit his memorial page at www.baldwincremation.com

    So sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one is always difficult even when we know it's eventually going to happen. Robin you are a loving wife and mother and Guy knew how much you loved him every second of his life. Alison and Kevin, no one can replace your dad, he was and will always be the man in your life. Keep his memory alive for your little ones so that they never forget what a wonderful man he was. Thank you for inviting us to Guy's Memorial, it was uplifting and reminded us of the wonderful person that was the person we knew as Guy Lundy.     It can be so difficult to express in words how someone touched our lives and hearts. Guy was a friend to may, a good husband and father. He was always willing to help and always had entertaining stories to share. I will miss you my friend, thanks for being a part of my journey.
