Obituary
It is with great sadness but also rejoicing that the family of Harold Bill Booher, 82 of Jefferson Hills, announce his passing into the arms of His Savior on the morning of November 30, 2018 at Jefferson Hospital. Born February 22, 1936 in Three Springs, PA, he was the son of the late Willis and Gertrude (Stains) Booher. Bill graduated from Pitcairn High School in 1954. He continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh and in 1992 earned his master’s degree in Chemical Microscopy from the McCrone Research Institute in Chicago. Bill retired from the Pittsburgh Energy Technology Center in 1996 after 39 years of service. Bill was an avid photographer and used those skills in his profession and his pleasure. He was active in many activities including: Cub Scouts serving as a Cub Master, Little League Baseball as a coach & President of the Royal Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corp Booster Association. He loved fishing and boating. He served as an official vessel examiner for the Lake Harris Chain of the US Power Squadron. He was also the biggest fan of his grandchildren’s sporting events and traveled to multiple states to watch baseball. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Bonnie L. (Brodbeck) Booher and his two sons, Timothy (Vicki)Booher of McKeesport and Thomas (Denise) Booher of Jefferson Hills. He will always be “PaPa” to his three grandchildren who he adored, Courtney, Colton and Jacob Booher. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11 AM at the Norwin Alliance Church, 10585 Farview Drive, Irwin, PA 15642 with Pastor Bob Daniels officiating. The family would like to thank the friends who provided support along with his care givers from Comfort Keepers.
