Obituary

Harry Baker Jackson (HBJ) passed in peace on Thursday, March 3rd, 2022.

Harry was born May 13, 1947 in Key West, Florida.  He later moved to Orlando where he volunteered, served, and retired as Fire Chief at the age of 30.  He transitioned in to business ventures and operations capacities until retirement.

His greatest achievement was the wisdom, strength and knowledge he passed on to his children and grandchildren.  Harry’s love for his family was boundless.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline; children, Sherry, Catherine and Robert Jackson; grandson, Austin J. Baker Long; children through marriage, John/Mari Battista, Nick/Leah Battista, Tina Battista Bartunek, Michele/Danny Hulmes and Michael Battista; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Harry will be most remembered as our family protector, provider and advisor.  These were all the ways he showed love and provided a glance in to his heart of gold.  He will forever be missed but never forgotten.

Harry was my Leutant at Orla Vista FD when I started as a paid Firefighter. I worked on Harry's shift for my time at OFD and we had many great and memorable times together. My prayers go out to his family. He will certainly be missed!

Harry's heart was as big as the island on which he was born, and this was reflected by his love and caring for his family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. But know that he has a special room in the Heavens from where he is looking down and still watching over his loved ones.

    Goodbye my cousin,
    Colleen
