Obituary
Harry E. Jacobson Jr. Age 76, of The Villages, Florida, formerly of Pembroke Ma, passed away peacefully September 5th surrounded by family. He was born in Weymouth, MA to Harry E. Jacobson Sr. and Marjory Noland, and brother of Jean Peterson, and the late Ruth Ross. Harry graduated from Braintree High School and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a devoted husband to Claire (Urquhart) Jacobson for 36 years, and was a loving father to Kristina Grubbs and husband Eric, Karen Pink and late husband Wayne, Scott Kennedy and wife Michelle, Cheri Armenti, Kim Peterson and husband Charlie, and a loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was pre-deceased by wife Virginia Clay.
Harry was a lithographer for Grass Instrument of Braintree for 39 years. During early retirement, he worked part time as an inspector for the Weights and Measures Department for the Town of Hanover, Pembroke Council of Ages Transportation Department, and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. He loved most being with family, music, playing games, camping, and enjoyed hosting holiday gatherings.
Harry (aka “The King”) had a passion for playing golf, and enjoyed many activities with family and friends residing in The Villages FL.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Sept. 29th at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church 165 Main St. Buzzards Bay Ma. A burial will follow at The Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. Also, there will be a celebration of Harry’s Life in The Villages, Fla. at a later date.
Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA), or the Cornerstone Hospice & Palliative Care Foundation
