Hattiebelle Haller Burch, 92, began her final adventure Sunday morning January 2nd, 2011, with family and loved ones by her bedside in her home for the last two years in Ormond Beach, FL.
Born in Monaca, PA, May 30th, 1918, Hattiebelle enjoyed her childhood often assisting her invalid father with his rental home business. Hattiebelle was married in 1938 to Jack Vernon Burch and enjoyed a wonderful 65 years of marriage. Together they raised three children while residing in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She later lived in Stuart, Deland, and New Smyrna Beach, FL.
A wonderful homemaker, Sunday school teacher, and volunteer for numerous Parent Teacher associations, Hattiebelle was helpful to so many people in need. While in South Florida, Hattiebelle volunteered over 5000 hours at Holy Cross Hospital as a Pink Lady.
In her later years, Hattiebelle's treasured little dog "Beau" benefited from the same incredible loving care that all who knew her had experienced.
.
Hattiebelle resided with her son in New Smyrna Beach for two of the last four years of
her life before she joined the Golden Abbey Assisted Living Center in Ormond Beach where she was surrounded by loving care takers, friends and frequent family visits.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend, always sharing a positive attitude towards life. She experienced many tragic losses early in her life, but was able to gracefully move on, adapting to change and handling any challenges presented to her. She showed tremendous strength throughout her life.
She will be forever missed by all who loved and looked up to her.
She is survived by her three children, Rae Belle Saddoris of Oregon, Jaclynn Daly of Maryland, and Riley Burch of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, as well as her beloved niece Patty Patton of Pennsylvania. She also leaves four grandchildren, Tom Saddoris, Mary Beth Saddoris, Samantha Lamon, Alex Daly and three great grandchildren, Christopher, Gracie and Mikaila. Sylvia Burch of Ohio, her sister-in-law, also survives her.
