HELEN GROVES (76) OF HOPKINSVILLE, KY PEACEFULLY JOINED HER FATHER, JOHNNIE BRANK GROVES, AND MOTHER, GRACIE ROSE, IN HEAVEN ON SUNDAY, JUNE 17, 2018 AS SHE WAS SURROUNDED BY LOVED ONES AFTER A MASSIVE STROKE.
SHE GAVE BIRTH TO 5 CHILDREN BY THE AGE OF 25 AND SPENT THE REMAINDER OF HER LIFE SHARING WITH THEM, HER GRANDCHILDREN, AND ALL WHO KNEW HER, HER LOVE OF LIFE, HER COMPLETE HONESTY, COMPASSION FOR OTHERS, AND HER WONDERFUL SENSE OF HUMOR. SHE LOVED SPENDING TIME WITH FAMILY, GIVING THE BEST HUGS, DANCING TO THE GOLDEN OLDIES, PLAYING DARTS, SHOOTING POOL, AND CREATING WONDERFUL PLASTIC CANVAS GIFTS FOR EVERYONE THAT SHE KNEW, SO WE ALL HAVE A PIECE OF SOMETHING THAT SHE CREATED WITH EVERY LOVING STITCH.
HELEN IS PREDECEASED BY HER PARENTS AND SISTER’S REBECCA AND CINDY, AND BROTHER WADE.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY THREE SISTERS: WILLA DEAN MORGAN, WANDA GRAY & LINDA COLLEY. HER FIVE CHILDREN, DAUGHTERS: SABRINA TOM SUN (SON-IN-LAW RALPH TOM SUN) AND TRACY BENDEL. SONS: LARRY JOHN, MARSHALL AND TONY TRUJILLO, HER 8 GRANDCHILDREN AND 3 GREAT GRANDSONS.
HELEN’S WISHES WERE TO BE CREMATED, SO THERE WILL BE NO FUNERAL SERVICES.
HER FINAL WISH IS THAT WE HAVE A PARTY IN CELEBRATION OF HER LIFE TO TELL JOKES, FUNNY STORIES OF HER AND LISTEN TO THOSE GOLDEN OLDIES WHILE DANCING ALONG AS SHE WOULD.
THAT PARTY WILL BE AUGUST 10TH (HER BIRTHDAY) AT 8:00 EST FOR THOSE WHO WOULD LIKE TO REMEMBER THE WONDERFUL JOY OF HER ALONG WITH HER FAMILY.
I WILL LIE DOWN IN PEACE AND SLEEP, FOR YOU ALONE, O LORD, WILL KEEP ME SAFE.
PSALM 4:8
I will always remember your welcoming smile for all of your kids and their friends. Always room for one more. With love always.
