BAILEY, HELEN McGUIRE, 93 of Longwood FL passed away on Wednesday evening July 3, 2013 at Hospice of the Comforter. Born March 30, 1920 in Albion, New York , daughter of the late Joseph and Julia McGuire, she is predeceased by her brother John and sister Louise. Helen moved with her family to the Orlando area from Miami in August 1963. She was a graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park and was a teacher specializing in remedial reading. She was active at Annunciation Catholic Church in Longwood serving in the Ministry of the Sick, and as a member of the St Joan of Arc Circle. She also served in the Ministry of the Sick in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hendersonville, NC. Earlier she served on the Parish Council at St Mary Magdeline Catholic Church in Maitland. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years James David Bailey, along with their four children: Paul of Colorado Springs, CO, Mark of Longwood, Tim of Sorento, FL and Kathy Heath of Maitland, FL and 7 Grandchildren: Megan, James, Brent, Laura , Andrea, John, and Sarah. She left 5 Greatgrandchildren: Bailey, Grant, Ashley, Paige, Callahan, and Anderson and her nephew Joe McGuire. A Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Longwood, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:45AM at the same location. The family requests donations be made to the Hospice of the Comforter in lieu of flowers.
