Obituary
Helen Melville (Buser) Thorne
6/3/1923 – 11/3/2020
On the dawn of an historical election day November 3, 2020 while everyone is disturbed about how our country might be doing. A 97 year old lady has left the stage of life. The role she played was a joyful, loving and most passionate one. Born June 3rd, 1923 in New York City known as the melting pot. They used to call it “Hell’s Kitchen” let us now see what they were cooking up.
Helen remembered her childhood tenement was occupied by the most wonderful, caring people you could ever meet there were no closed or locked doors, every family was yours. You could wander the entire building and know you were welcome wherever you went.
Now how could that many different people live so happy together. They had almost nothing, it was the time of the great depression. When the carnal man could not bare that all was lost. The spiritual man let’s say woman lived in charity. To family, others, nature, animals and all the communities she lived in. Now let that simmer a while. She practiced both the love of art and the art of love. Her art is found in private collections all around this country. Her love is not lost, it’s still hanging around for all to feel and see.
I could make a list of her life. I did, it was too unbelievable. It played out like something on Broadway or the Silver Screen. Helen seen in picture, loved to dance with her husband, Vincent. I hope you remember how to dance, everyone is waiting.
In the last days she refused the wine. It was far to bitter, why else would you not drink the wine?
Quote
Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the Kingdom of God.
I will continue to carry o
our family name on and the legacy of the royal, Thorne family.
Thy will be done.
So mote it be.
