Helena Clair Ladas, 71, of Ocala, Florida passed away, Tuesday, September 24, 2019
Helena (Penny) was born on March 1, 1948 and passed away on September 24, 2019 after a brief illness.
Penny graduated from Mary Immaculate High School in May 1966 as the Valedictorian of her class. She graduated from the University of Miami with honors in 1970.
She worked for Barrett Computer Services in Miami as a programmer and then went to work for Del Monte Reynolds Fresh Food Division where she retired.
She moved to Ocala, Florida with her husband where she resided for the past 15 years.
Penny was preceded in death by her husband Mike Ladas, parents Raymond and Catherine Gilbert and sisters Jeannette (Crawford) Banks and Cathy & Julian Barrios. Penny is survived by her siblings brother Raymond (Toni) Gilbert Jr. and Anita (James) Welch both of Ocala and brother Joseph Gilbert of Key West. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a close friend who helped take care of her and her animals Sue Williams.
Penny supported everyone in her family and was willing to help anyone and everyone.
