Obituary

Cocoa,Fl- Henry Edward Gines Jr, 66, passed suddenly at Vierra Hospital on September 27, 2020. He was born July 23, 1954
in Kansas City, Missouri to Henry Edward and Jeanne (Meade) Gines Sr.
He is survived by his life partner Nancy LaMaire Lake, ex-wife Jacqui Gines Gannon, Mother Jeanne (Meade) Gines, brothers
Brian (Barbera Boudreau) Gines, Jeffrey (Randall) Huetson-Gines, sons Cecil A. Gines, Daniel I Gines, Randall J Gines,
5 grand daughters and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Henry Edward Gines Sr.
He went to ST Michaels Catholic School in Kansas City for elementary and middle school. He graduated from Menchville High
School in Newport News Virginia. He attended VCU in Richmond, Virginia. While in high school he played baseball, ran cross
country and managed the football team.
He spent 7 years in the Navy on the Forrestal and Eisenhower ships as a systems organizational tech. He earned the sea
deployment ribbon w/ bronze star good conduct awards.
From 1987 to 2006 he was employed by Boeing. From 2006 to 2020 he was a tech at United Launch Alliance.
His passion was sports. He coached the PSJ housewives softball league, umpire for housewives league and PSJ Little league,
coached the PSJ Rockets football league, he then spent 30 years as a coach for the Titusville Terriors high school football
He loved his old movies, godzilla, Svengoulia and popcorn on sat night, and had a passion for jazz. He also loved his
honey bees and birds.
In lieu of flowers we are asking for donations to the gofundme page for the Henry Gines Memorial Football Scholarship.
A celebration of life will be Sat Oct 10 at 10am at the Chain of Lakes Park in Titusville.
