Obituary

Herbert H. Beck, age 83, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022 at Leesburg, Florida. Originally from Anderson, S. C., he joined the United States Navy in 1956 and served aboard many naval ships and shore stations as Operations Specialist, retiring at rank of Senior Chief in 1986 in London, England. Herb joined the U.S. Naval Customs and served as a Senior Customs Inspector in London, England until his retirement from Civil Service, 20 years later.
Preceded in death by Julie, his wife of 50 years and “Libby”, their beloved four legged friend. Survived by his loving life partner Anne McCoy, nephew Terry Bailey, niece Lisa Beck, cousin Bill Beck, Godchildren Samantha Straker and Aaron Straker, special “Bro” Geof Warren.
Arrangements are being handled by Baldwin Brothers.
Funeral services are scheduled for July 13, 2022 for 2:00 PM at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.

    Goodbye my dear, dear friend, so many fond memories that will stay with me forever here in Spain and on our many Road Trips in American. You were a very special person in my life, like a Brother and I know you felt the same about me. My thoughts and heart go out to Anne and Madeline at this sad, sad time.
