Obituary
Herman Zanoni (93) of Leesburg, Florida passed away peacefully on February 25, 2019.
He was born on March 5, 1925 in Vulcan, Michigan to Innocente and Enrica Zanoni. Herman was a graduate of Michigan Tech with a Civil Engineering degree. He was a World War Two veteran in the 96 Infantry Division. He went onto work for the City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works until he retired in 1986 as Deputy Commissioner of Public Works. Herman enjoyed a competitive game of tennis and golf. He was a devout Catholic who treasured his family and friends.
Herman is now reunited with his wife of 62 years Chris. He is predeceased by his parents Innocente and Enrica , and his two brothers Henry and Victor.
He is survived by his daughter Tamie Hoy and her husband John; by his son Steve Zanoni; his grandchildren : Kevin Hoy and his wife Maggie, Andrew Hoy and his wife Lara, Michael Zanoni, Karissa Zanoni, and Katie Zanoni; by his great- grandchildren Callie and Jordan Hoy; by his brother Robert Zanoni and his sister in law Jane Karis and by so many nieces , nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held For Herman at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida on Friday March 15, 2019 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church 1050 Celebration Avenue Celebration, Florida 34747.
