Obituary
Howard Eugene Combs, II (Howie), beloved husband, father, son, and brother, passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on September 29, 1968, Howard was a loving husband, devoted father, cherished son, and proud brother.
Howie graduated from Central Catholic and served in the US Navy. Through his service, he was stationed all over the world, including California and Japan; and he served honorably in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He was a humble man of great love and passion. He dedicated his life to his family, always making them feel supported, appreciated, and above all, loved. His warmth, kindness and positivity left an undeniable mark on all who knew him. Howie was an avid volunteer, giving back to the community he loved. His presence was a source of strength, inspiration, and joy to all those who loved him.
Howie was a fiercely passionate and unwavering Buckeye fan, embodying the true spirit of Ohio State football. His pride in the team was unmatched, and he shared his boundless enthusiasm with everyone he encountered, turning every game day into a celebration. He also loved to fish and found a peaceful paradise at his home in Florida on his fishing dock.
Though he has left this world far too soon, Howie’s legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones. He was a man who truly made everyone feel loved and who was equally adored by those lucky enough to know him. His memory will be cherished forever.
Howie was preceded in death by his dad and namesake, Howard Combs, Sr., and sisters, Lisa and Cheryl Combs. He is survived by his wife, Trish; children, Lisa (Ryan), Trey; mother, Barbara; and sister, Jennifer Wesselhoff (Rick).
A celebration of his life will be held on February 1 from 11:00 – 1:00 at Ferfolia Funeral Home. Please do not send flowers (he would hate that). Rest in peace, Howie. You will be missed, and forever loved. Go Bucks! F-Michigan!
