I’ve nothing but fond memories of him: that smile, that laugh, and the fact that he was one of the nicest human beings anyone could ever hope to meet. Uncle Jim was the guy that didn’t change a bit from my first memory of him I have. His hair, his glasses, his wardrobe, but most importantly his quiet presence, his gentle demeanor and the obvious love for his family. The world needs more people like him. Sending love to everyone who had the privilege to know him.

I am so incredibly grateful for the experience of knowing Jim and joining the Creaser family. Jim was so kind and patient, he was funny and interesting - he always had a story to tell. When we would visit, he would tell me about everything - from the newest Broadway show to trivia about the American Revolution to the book I 'needed to read' from the NY Times bestseller list.

Jim was calm and content. The lesson that I will take from him is to appreciate the small things in life - whether that's reading a good book on a warm day, sitting still to listen to music or simply picking up a doughnut at Publix. I will also think of him when I'm with my children - watching his eyes light up when his grandkids entered a room was absolute magic, and they were so lucky to have him.

Thank you Jim for being a shining example of hard work, kindness and the value that comes from learning about the world around you. I love you and will miss you from the very bottom of my heart.
