Obituary

Hugh Francis Sinclair 84 was born on November 20, 1937, in Burlington, Vermont and passed away on March 23, 2022 in Ocala, Florida.

He joined the U.S. Air Force after high school and was stationed at McCoy Air Force Base outside of Orlando.  While in the Air Force he trained sentry dog s and learned to fly in his spare time.  After his time serving his country he obtained his private pilot’s license and became an instructor teaching others his great love for flying.  Hugh spent his career as a commercial pilot living out his life’s dream.  He was devoted to his wife, family, and his faith in Jesus Christ.   After retiring from commercial flying Hugh was able to continue his passion for flying and serving the Lord with Mission Air and instructing the next generation of pilots.  He lived in Florida where he loved the weather, gardening, volunteering, and Floridians.

Hugh is preceded in death by his mother Caremyn Chasteny, father, Hugh Sinclair, stepfather, Edward Chasteny, brother Philip Sinclair, son Brian Sinclair and nephew Michael Sinclair.

He is survived by his wife Lorraine Sinclair, Ocala, Florida, daughter Dianne (Thomas) Audette, Fort Mill, South Carolina, his granddaughters, Meghan Audette, Sunnyvale, California, Shelly Audette, Newport, Vermont, Abigail Audette, Charleston, South Carolina, Olivia Audette, Fort Mill, South Carolina, Caroline Audette, Fort Mill, South Carolina, sisters Sandy (Gary)Smith-Huddleston, Ocala, Florida, and Judy (Mark) Sinclair-Daly, Ocala, Florida.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:00 am at Meadow Brook Church   4741 SW 20th Street Ocala, Florida with Pastor Tim Gilligan officiating.

A reception following the services will be held at 8281 SW 113th Lane, Ocala, Florida 34481

    I knew Hugh and his wife, Lorraine, for a long time. He was a passionate man for his family, God and his country. Hugh loved flying and teaching everyone to fly and believing in our Lord Jesus Christ!
