Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ian Terrence Roberts at the age of 67 on Friday, October 29, 2021, at his home in Palm Coast, Florida. Ian was predeceased by his parents, Alan and Irene and grandson, Jacob. He is survived by his children, Caitlin (Ted) and Levi of Mount Dora, Florida, brother to Gordon and Brenda (Maurice), uncle of Kristen (Brandon), Julia (Everett) and Christopher, all of Ontario, Canada. Proud Papa to granddaughters, Ella, and Sophia.

Ian made Palm Coast his home during his retirement years where he was an active member of the Flagler County Opioid Task Force. In his younger years, he was a skilled stained-glass artist and owned Rainbow Glassworks in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada before moving to DeBary, Florida in 1990. In Florida, he designed pools and landscapes for various construction agencies in the Central Florida region. He was an active member of the DeBary Volunteer Fireman’s Association as well as a member of the Daytona Speedway Fire Rescue crew in the 1990’s. He enjoyed collecting Tiffany lamps and Coca Cola memorabilia, visiting the beach, and traveling around Florida. Ian be missed by family and friends both here in Florida and in Canada.

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 4 from 10am-12pm at the Hampton Inn & Suites, 150 Flagler Plaza Drive, Palm Coast, FL 32137.

    I only knew Ian for 2 years, but in that time we became good friends. Ian was a very kind, decent man and is sorely missed. Condolences to all his family and friends.
