Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ingrid Bakken Manna. She departed this Earth to take her place amongst the Heavenly Angels on August 18th of this year after a brief illness that no one was expecting. Ingrid was an artist with an eye for jewelry design that is both unique and original. She lived a quiet life with her dog Blue. Her earlier career was with Blair Radio and WLS in Chicago. She leaves behind a loving sister Karen, sister Lillian, Ingrid’s son Andy, his children Elsa and Ava, a niece, Jodie, two nephews, John and Michael and their children, plus many close friendships she developed throughout the years. She will be missed by all. Before her illness she was bound for Norway, a land that she loved. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date, time and place to be announced.

Arrangements entrusted with BALDWIN BROTHERS Funeral & Cremation Society-Spanish Springs, 352-430-1449. Sentiments are encouraged at www.baldwincremation.com.

Karen & I spent the weekend with Ingrid & helped her set up & show the jewelry that-she made held in the Villages. She was so Happy and sold quite a few pieces. The following Wednesday she went to Hospital. Sadly she passed a few weeks later. I miss her & the wonderful times we had. We shared times together when she came to Karen’s in Palm Coast. Enjoyed her cooking &our girl time in hot tub. Ingrid, I still can’t believe you’re gone! But I still hear your Laugh Live, Annie

I am so sad to hear that Ingrid is gone. I worked with her at Leo Burnett and she had a natural beauty, an innate sense of style and a great, fun-loving personality.
My condolences to Lillian and Karen

Dearest Ingrid. I was so sorry and shocked to hear of your passing. You were a spirited and wonderful lady and tons of fun to be with. We had so much fun with all the dinners together with Karen and Annie and you occasionally made something Norwegian that was special. Thank you for being my friend. I know you are an awesome addition to Heaven.

I remember Ingrid from high school in Port Washington, NY. We used to joke about having the same name and being from Europe. My deepest condolences to her family, especially Lillian who was in the class of 1964 with me.
May memories help comfort you at this sad time.

My dear sister. I miss you so much and I'm having a really hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that you are not here for me to call. I'm used to us talking once, twice, three times a day just to check in. I miss you so much.
