Obituary
Irene Callahan (Schuld) 89, peacefully passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Hawthorne Village/Marion County Hospice Care, Ocala, FL.
Irene was born on December 26, 1929 in Harvard, IL, to Mable Schuld (Verrick) and Herman Schuld of Harvard. Irene was the beloved wife and best friend of the late William (Bill) Callahan for 47 years. Devoted mother of Sherri Viscione (Callahan) and mother-in-law of Thomas Viscione. She was the loving grandmother of Kristofer and Megan Viscione.
She was more than just a few words to her two grandchildren, who adored her. She will forever have an effect on them as she gave them her knowledge of the love of life. She also was an entrepreneur and hard worker. She owned her own hair salon and was a licensed cosmetologist for 40 years. She loved to crochet and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Irene is survived by her daughter Sherri Viscione (Thomas) Ocala, two grandchildren: Kris and Megan, sister Maryetta (Dale) Everson of Texas and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three sisters: Rosie Bailey, Dorthy Reeser, and Hazel Ashbaugh.
Viewing celebration of life is 10-11 am and Memorial Service will be held at 11 am, Tuesday July 30, 2019 at Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, 954 E Silver Springs Blvd., #200, Ocala, Florida.
