Obituary
Jack Lawson Haynes was born November 12, 1929. He was the only child of Jack B. Haynes and Verna L. (Peggy) Sears Haynes. His formal education earned him a degree in accounting, but before he could put that to use, he enlisted in the Air Force where he served during the Korean War as a staff sergeant for four years. He returned to Kansas City and a few years later met his wife Janice DeMarco. They dated a few years and married on August 19, 1961. They had three children Jacqueline Michelle, Jeanine Lanette and Jack Lawson Jr. He worked as an accountant at Western Electric for many years until he went into the grocery store business in 1977. One by one each of his children went to work for him at the store. These years are remembered fondly by all three. After closing the store in 1990 to move to Paradise Valley Arizona Jack continued working but also traveling with his wife with their fifth wheel and German Shepherd. They enjoyed 58 years of marriage always side by side helping each other. They moved to Florida seven years ago to enjoy more good weather and family. Jack was a member of first Christian Church where he enjoyed greeting, ushering and serving communion. Jack is preceded in death by both parents and his grandson Joshua Lee Pollock. He is survived by his three children Jacqueline Michelle Ash (Mark Malanda), Jeanine Lanette Haynes, Jack Lawson Haynes Jr. (Alessha) four grandchildren Jasmine Marie Haynes, Jack Lawson Haynes III, Rodney and Marley Luke. Three great grandchildren Gabriel, Adeon, and Deegan Haynes. Memorial service will be Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 11 o’clock First Christian Church, 2620 Country Club Blvd, Cape Coral Florida 33904. Arrangements are under the care and trust of Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society, Ft. Myers, FL.
