Jack Nelson Tallent, 70, passed quietly into eternity with His Lord on Saturday, September 24, 2022. He was born in Knoxville, TN on July 16, 1952, to Frank N. Tallent and Bessie Mae McNeill Tallent, both deceased. He leaves his brother, Thomas B. Tallent of The Villages, Florida; and his sister, Trish Tallent Lobasso of Olive Branch, MS (husband, Mike, nephew, Landon, niece, Maegan, and great nephew, Denver). He lived in The Villages, Florida with his brother. Jack graduated from Wooddale High School, class of 1971, in Memphis, TN. He attended Memphis State University and was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He worked in sales for S.J. McNeill Brokerage Company in Memphis and was a sales executive for Best Foods USA. He also worked as a blackjack dealer for 15 years in Mississippi and Florida prior to his retirement in 2018. He was passionate about The University of Tennessee Vols and the game of golf, both of which were family traditions. Jack loved the state of Tennessee and was very proud to be a Tennessean. He lived in Memphis for over 40 years. His final request was for his ashes to be scattered by a stream in the Great Smoky Mountains. Rest in peace brother, uncle, cousin, brother-in-law, and friend. You are missed already. We love you.

Jack, you were always like a brother. I will miss our long conversations on my lanai. You were an amazing historian of the family an politics. I sure hope there are golf courses in Heaven. I also hope our golf games go back to our youth. I never envisioned playing from green tees and celebrate breaking 90. Find a good course and I will see you one day. Praise Jesus for his grace,
