Obituary
Jacob Vincent Adams was born February 12, 1945, in Liberta, Antigua and Barbuda.
Jacob moved to New York City in the late ’60s. He worked as an industrial painter and was a member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, District Council 9. He retired at the age of 55. Shortly after he moved to Orlando, Florida.
Jacob went by many names. Charlie, Pusses, and Grand Charlie, just to name a few. He enjoyed cooking, having his cigars, eating fish, watching sports, and listening to music.
Jacob was preceded in death by his father George Adams, mother Celestine Gordon, and son Vincent Corey Adams. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Sarah. Children Tracey (Julia), Deon, Shaniqua (LC), 13 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, sister Daisy Hunte, brother Dave Adams, brother in law’s William (Earline) and Hayes. Other survivors include nieces, nephews, cousins and an abundance of friends.
His family will receive friends from 12 pm until 2 pm on Saturday at the Heritage Place at Baldwin Brothers, with a service at 2 pm.
