It is with great sadness Jacob Alexzander Whaley, beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend passed away on Sunday evening May 7th, 2023, at the age of 22 after a tragic automobile accident. He is survived by his fiancé Myndie Swartout, parents Jeremy and Dawn Whaley, birth mother Belinda Berry, brothers Jeremy Whaley Jr. and Shawn Simpson, sisters Nevaeh Sickmon, Chloe Simpson, Stacy Butler, and (predeceased sister Emma Berry), nephew Austin Whaley, Luke Swim Jr, and niece Skyla Swim, grandparents Lisa Russell Whaley, (predeceased Darlene Jones “Memaw” and Poppa Pete), Gene Morrison, and (predeceased James Whaley “Poppa Jimbo”) great grandfather Ken Russell, (predeceased great grandma Barbara Russell), and many more family members and friends.
Jacob lived in Edgewater and worked at Boston Whaler in small parts and prep, he loved his job and was being trained to be a team lead, he was a hard worker at whatever he was doing. Jacob was proud of his achievements in life as we all are… being on his own, owning his vehicles, and especially proud of his motorcycle. He loved his fiancé, family, and his animals. He enjoyed all types of music, fishing and boating, loved fast muscle cars, sports cars, and four-wheel drives.
Jacob’s family and friends will always remember his fun-loving personality, and silliness. He will be forever missed by many. Jacob was one of a kind.
The family of Jacob Whaley would like to thank you all for your love and support during this difficult time of sudden loss. There are no words to describe our gratitude for your heartfelt sympathies, flowers, and donations. It is sincerely appreciated and will always be remembered.
To honor Jacob’s memory, the family invites anyone who knew Jacob to celebrate his life on Saturday July 1st at Menard-May Park in Edgewater starting at Noon.
