Jacqueline Gunter Williams, age 65, passed peacefully away at Bridgeview Nursing Home in Ormond Beach, FL on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 after an extended illness. Jackie was born on May 19, 1952 in Knoxville, TN to Benjamin Jack and Delores Gunter.
Jackie grew up in Knoxville and graduated from Young High School in 1970. After high school she attended Fort Sanders School of Nursing, and then went on to The University of Tennessee in Knoxville where she attained the degree of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. She practiced for many years at Morristown Hamblen Hospital with Hamblen Anesthesia.
In addition to caring for patients, she dedicated her life to her husband of 29 years, Ronald Keith Williams, who preceded her in death by only 7 months, and to lovingly caring for and supporting her stepdaughters, Bethany and Courtney Williams. She was thrilled when her first grandchild, Mila Baglio, was born.
Jackie enjoyed life and had an amazing laugh that could fill the room. She was an avid sports fan and had fun cheering on her favorite teams. She loved the Lord and was active in Manley Baptist Church in Morristown for many years. She loved the beach was excited when they retired to Florida to enjoy the warm sun and beaches.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister Norma Brown. She leaves behind to cherish her memory stepdaughters, Bethany
Williams of Knoxville, TN and Courtney Williams of Reston, VA; granddaughter Mila Baglio; sisters, Dottie York of Seymour, TN and Sheila Dyer of Knoxville, TN, and many other loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family and friends will gather for A Celebration of Life service that will be held at The Chapel at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church at 9132 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN at 11:00am on November 4, 2017.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the charity or church of your choice.
