Our first contact with Jim was at St. Matthew’s church in NJ. He and Peg sat behind us and the only exchange of words was, “Peace be with you” during that part of Sunday mass. The next level of conversation after mass disclosed that Jim always went to see his mother in a nursing home every Sunday after mass. That told us a lot about Jim’s good heart. Our relationship expanded to golf, a trip to Ireland and finally our new 18-year lifestyle in The Villages. If it were not for Jim and Peg we would never enjoy that great slice of our life. The details of our relationship are spelled out in Jack’s Memoirs as a story entitled “Best Friends”, that are in the final phase of completion. We will provide Peg with a copy of that story. Jim, thanks for many, many good memories and “PEACE BE WITH YOU!” Love, Verna and Jack Kolman

    Dear Peg & family,
Both Dennis & I am so sorry to hear the sad news of Jim's passing. The saddest part is that we never got to meet Jim in person.
Both he & Dennis would have been great friends & not just relatives. We all enjoyed reading about all the Irish relatives both here & still living in Ireland. The phone call that connected us & then all the emails.
You will always be in our hearts.
Love to all & May Jim rest in peace,
    Dennis & Anne Shea

Jim and Peg were our first contacts when we decided to get involved with Project Children in the early 1990's.
We still keep in contact with our Ciara our child from Belfast ( she is now 41 ) and actually her daughter came to NYC this year and we met her for lunch.
The fine work that Jim and Peg did with Project Children is still bearing positive results to this day in helping keeping peace in the Northern Ireland.
Our condolences to Peg and the family.
