Obituary

James Edwin Eggers, 45, went home to be with Our Lord and loved ones on August 24, 2019, a short while after being diagnosed with stage-four lung cancer. “Jimmy” Eggers, son of Ernest and Wilma Eggers, loving husband of Cynthia Eggers, and devoted father of Alexis Eggers and Michael Eggers, was born on January 22, 1974 in Mesquite, Texas.

Jimmy was full of life and poured himself into all that he did. He was a man that went above and beyond expectations to help those around him. From soldier, to police officer, to insurance adjuster, and everything in between, he worked diligently in whatever his hand found to do. He played as hard as he worked and enjoyed past-times such as camping, fishing, and playing games.

In his private life you could see Jim’s caring and loving ways through his interaction with his wife and kids as well as with his daughter “by choice” Amy Bradshaw. Jimmy was loyal to a fault and kept his small circle of friends and family laughing and feeling loved.

Jimmy will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents, wife, and children, he is survived by his sister, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. His wonderful spirit, joy, and talents will be celebrated on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 11:00 AM until the time of his Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 NOON in the Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place Chapel, 954 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Suite 200, Ocala, Florida 34470. Tele: 352-236-5884.

The saddest news I’ve heard was your passing. Sadly we didn’t keep in touch since our law enforcement days, but I and everyone that had the pleasure of knowing you and being in your presence is a blessing on its own. Till we meet again one day, you will always be remembered!
