Obituary
James Howard Sengstack III (Jim) passed away on October 17, 2025 in the comfort of his wife, Mary, shortly after a long visit with his son, Bremen. Jim was born on January 25, 1956 in Washington, DC and grew up in Fairfax County, Va. He graduated from Fairfax High School in 1974 and attended Emory and Henry College. Jim worked with the Consumer Credit Counseling Service in Washington before becoming the director of their offices in Fairfax, Va and Atlanta, Georgia.
Jim and Mary were married in 2010 and lived in Florida to be close to family. Jim had a great sense of humor, and even with a bad back found a way to get on the floor and be “funny Papa Jim”. He enjoyed gardening, music, the Commanders, and his loving family; he was deeply loved in return.
Jim is survived by his wife, Mary, six sons, 14 grandchildren, a brother, Steve (Alyson), two sisters, Carol Larsen (Greg) and Cheryl Marini (Roger), as well as numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, and extended family. Jim has left everyone he touched with many wonderful memories and stories, and each one of them brings with it a smile. He’d have loved that.
A celebration of life will be held sometime in 2026 with immediate family.

We loved receiving them and showed what a great heart and love of music he enjoyed. God bless him.
