NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL - James M. Gravelding, 66, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, formerly of Richfield Springs, New York passed away at his home in Florida on May 16, 2013 with his loving wife Pam by his side.
Jim was born in Cooperstown New York, the son of Earl and Dorothy (Hannahs) Gravelding. He married the former Pamela Trumbull on October 5, 1974.
Jim was very proud of his service in the United States Army serving during Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion Post 17 in New Smyrna Beach for many years. He loved being in or near the water his entire life including swimming, fishing, shrimping, and boat rides. He especially loved being at Canadarago Lake where he could visit with family and life-long friends. He loved to dance and had a great sense of humor.
Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald in 1979 and Joseph in 2012.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Pam of 38 years, his brother David and Ellie Gravelding of Richfield Springs; two sister- in laws; Linda Gravelding of Deer Park Texas, and Connie and husband Randy Christian of Richfield Springs; nephews Dan, Mark, Mike and David Gravelding, nieces Kim Miller, Wendy Brannigan, Jennifer Fletcher, and Jill Johnson, 19 great nieces and nephews and one great great niece.

Interment will be later this summer in Richfield Springs, New York.
