Obituary

James M. May, 62 of New Smyrna Beach died peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 28, 2011 with his wife by his side.  Jim was born March 18, 1949 in Norman, OK.  He worked in sales for many years, most recently in the insurance industry, and found his way to New Smyrna Beach in 2004.  Jim was a man who had a dry wit and a true love of life.  Jim taught himself to play the guitar, and music was an important part of his life.  Jim is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Lisa Six; two daughters, Kyle May and her companion, Dave Willmont, and Aryn and her husband, Brian Call; mother, Eloise May; grandchildren, Kendall May and Brayden Willmont; brother John and his wife, Leslie May; aunt and uncle, Carol and Robert Clonch; cousin, Cassie Wilson and her husband, Ken Brokaw and four very dear friends, Dennis and Cindy Langford, Eddie Jones and Lisa Johnson.     In lieu of flowers  the family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler or American Cancer Society.  Jim’s Life Celebration will be held from 6-8 PM, Friday, June 3rd at the Hidden Lakes Golf Club,  35 Fairgreen Avenue, New Smyrna Beach with storytelling 7:00PM.
