Obituary
James Bryan McCullar, age 80, passed away, Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Florida Hospital in Orange City, FL. Left behind to celebrate his memory are his loving wife, Sheila of 48 years, his daughter, Cindi and her fiancé, Troy. his sons, Bryan, Keith and Rusty. his sister, Colleen. his mother in law, Marge. his sister in law, Lisa and her husband, Greg. his niece and god daughter, Dawn and her children Mike and Charleen. Danielle, who he considered his daughter, and many more.
He grew up in Alabama with one brother and five sisters. When he was 14, His Dad died working at the railroad from a tragic accident. At that time, his mother, then moved the family to Florida. Jim was an Army Veteran, and even spent one year in South Korea. Upon returning home, he went to work for Graybar Electric, then became a Superintendent in Construction, and later a Building Contractor.
Jim and Sheila enjoyed working side by side together building homes. It was a family affair, as many nights were spent looking over blue prints on the kitchen table. When he retired in 2006, Jim and Sheila were still inseparable. He loved animals, which was good, because Sheila and Cindi would bring home strays, whenever they could. Jim would always put on a show of resistance, that was obviously fake. He had two dogs (Tonka and McKenzie) and two cats (Tuffy and Bobo) that were very dear to him and made his heart shine and countless more. His love for animals was evidence of his kind spirit. He was a soft spoken, sweet, kind, gentle man and will be dearly missed, instead of a funeral, the family has chosen a Celebration of Life. Which will be planned at a future date.
