Obituary
James Denis McNamara passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022, in Orlando, Florida.
James was born on December 30, 1936, in Miami, Florida. He graduated from FIU in 1977 and worked in education as a teacher and coach. James was awarded the Miami Herald’s Soccer Coach of the Year in 1980.
James was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Airforce. He enjoyed World War II model airplanes, cooking and tracing his ancestry.
James was preceded in death by his father John Pierce McNamara in 1978, his mother Ola Lee (Hawke) McNamara in 1989, his brother Terry McNamara in 1995 and his grandson Andrew in 2000. He is survived by his daughters Kelly Daghita and Molly Scott, his brother Richard McNamara, one nephew, nine grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
