Obituary

James Migliore (Jim) of Mount Dora, FL passed on peacefully on February 1, 2020 after a seven-month long fight with lung and subsequently bone cancer. He was born on December 21, 1949 in Hartford Connecticut and grew up in Farmington Connecticut. Angela is Jim’s loving and devoted wife and best friend. His brother Richard is the only remaining immediate family member. Jim and Angela were married in 1975 and remained devoted to each other for almost 45 years. They moved to Florida 11 years ago for Jim to take a job at Bank of New York Mellon in Orlando. For the past 11 years, Jim remained an integral part of the Bank’s Operations Department. He was devoted to his staff and they have described him as a great mentor, teacher, leader and overall a wonderful person. His working family meant a great deal to him both professionally and personally.

Jim was an avid and passionate photographer specializing in Photoshop Compositing and a member of an on-line group of photographers from all over the world whom he called his Scavenger Hunt family.

Jim revived Angela’s interest in photography and they both made long, lasting connections with this special, unique and creative family. Being a part of the community meant the world to him. Jim left an impact on the Group with his art and his ability to create great personal connections. They will remember Jim as a beautiful, warm, fun, friendly upbeat man with a huge heart. Jim also loved to play golf throughout his lifetime.

Angela will remember Jim as her devoted, patient, nurturing, loving and kind husband and best friend.

Always patient, honest, loyal, demonstrating unconditional love to her and to everyone he met. Jim was sensitive but strong in his convictions and fair-minded and he always stood up for anyone and anything he strongly believed in. Jim will be desperately missed but he will be in all of our memories and forever in our hearts.

Near to the end of his life, he was in the great care of the most loving Vitas Hospice Care Nurses in Lake County and Angela will be forever grateful for their kindness, strength, love and devotion to him and all their hospice patients. Therefore, In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to:

I am very saddened to hear of Jim's passing. My condolences to Angela and Jim's family. I met Jim online through a photography community on Google . Always enjoyed and looked forward to Jim's comments. After Google was shut down, I would hear from Jim though other social media, though it was not the same. I missed him and often thought of writing a note saying such. In February 2020 I had this strong feeling to try to find out about what Jim's status was. To my dismay, I learned of his passing.

Jim was someone I never met in person but knew he would make a nice friend. After reading comments about Jim, I was not alone in thinking what a nice person he was and indeed he would have been a good friend in person.

Jim, thank you for bringing a warm light into my life!

    Angela,

Our hearts are sadden to hear you lost your beloved Jim. You two were the best neighbors we’ve ever had! From the moment we moved in, you two were so welcoming and loving. Jim was always so sweet to us and especially our kids. The kiddies still ask the new neighbors when will Ms. Angie and Mr. Jim be back. For the past week, all I keep thinking about is Jim coming into the neighborhood in his little black sports car waving to us as he drives by. Or how happy he always looked riding his lawnmower on the weekends. He always had a smile, and ALWAYS spoke fondly of you. Akil and I would talk about how awesome it was to see a good example of genuine love in a marriage that lasted for years! You two are inspirational, and we cherish every neighborly moment with you both. Jim will forever be in our hearts and you will forever be on our mind. God bless you!

Dear Angela, It was very sad to hear about Jimmy. . Jimmy was my first cousin. His mom, Lucy, and my dad Frank Fazzino were brother and sister. I am so sorry that we never got to meet. My prayers are with you at this sad time. The family tree that Andy & Mary gave you, has me listed, Maybe someday in the future when you feel up to it---- give me a call. Once again, I am so sorry that Jimmy is gone.

Hey Angie; Helen e-mailed me this sad news. So very sorry in so many ways. I remember Jim from too few times with you both as a couple. He was handsome & fun, interesting & and a man of so many interests & talents, also, yes, devoted. In deep sympathy & condolences.. Connie & Don Tapper
PS We are in Florida now for the winter, but very far from you. I have brought a white necklace that you made for my mother. I always admired it on her & always thought of you when she wore it. She looked lovely in it. I treasure having it now. So just telling you as I want to say that you will always have many "touch stones" of Jim about you. Wishing moments of comfort when they come to you. You deserve them. Sending you a warm big hug.

    Angie,

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He was an amazing person and a great friend. He lived life to the fullest, with everything he was involved in. I'll always remember those nights at the Hartford Civic Center watching the Whalers, cheering them on, screaming at the referee to "open his eyes, " like a couple of High School kids. I will forever miss those nights in Hartford. He brought that same enthusiasm, that same commitment, to everything that caught his interest and attention.
