James Patrick “Dooley” Doolin, age 67, of New Smyrna Beach, passed away on September 29, 2022, after a long courageous fight. “Dooley” is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Doolin, his sons, Kyle Patrick Doolin and James Kevin Doolin, his grandson, Patrick Stone Doolin. His brother, Micheal Kevin Doolin, his Aunt, Jean Ellis and numerous cousins.

At age 17, Dooley joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged in the year 1975. He worked in construction throughout his life, he was a painter by trade. Later in life he met Patricia “Pattie” Ann Still from Augusta, Ga. She soon became his best friend and they were married in 1999.

“Dooley” was adored far and wide by close friends and new acquaintances alike. To him life was a party, from the moment his legs hit the ground he was determined to be the life of the party. He was absolutely a magnetic force of nature that was frequently wacky but endlessly entertaining. He was a loyal husband and partner and an all-around exceptional friend.

A Memorial is scheduled for Saturday, October 15, 2022, at “Manatee Park”, Riverside Park, 299 S. Riverside Dr, New Smyrna Beach, FL, from 2-4 pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate “Dooley’s” life. See you there.
