James (Jimmy) Dargenio, 56, passed away on August 11, 2021. James was born on August 20, 1964, in Staten Island, NY. He was a block mason most of his life and spoke often of how much he enjoyed his work. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Jimmy had a love for music. He enjoyed playing pool and drums. He also loved watching wilderness programs, daily Bible reads, and any pasta but wanted to have meatballs on Sundays, like his mom used to make. He watched Food Challenges on YouTube and dreamed one day of trying one of the challenges himself.
Jimmy passed away peacefully in the arms of Melissa Peacock at West Marion Community Hospital on August 11th after a yearlong battle with liver cancer. He and Melissa loved to spend time visiting and enjoyed having dinner with Mommasaan (Melissa’s mom).
He is preceded in death by his parents Carmine and May (Martin) Dargenio and his brother Tommy.
He is survived by his beloved partner Melissa Peacock, Ocala, FL. His daughters Melissa Stecz of Morristown, TN and Jessica Dargenio of Orange City, FL, grandchildren Brooklyn and Kameron of TN, and brothers Ed Dargenio of Deltona, FL, Carmine Dargenio of New Jersey and Bobby Dargenio Ft. Walton Beach, FL.
He will be forever loved and missed by all.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 3:00 pm at our First NSB-A Family Church, 200 Faulkner Street, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168.
