Obituary
James Russell Rice, 82, of Fort Myers, FL passed away on October 7, 2024. Jim was born on September 26, 1942, in Lakewood, Ohio, and grew up in Northeastern Ohio.
As a young man he got involved in playing guitar during the early era of rock and roll, and worked as a professional photographer. Later he would become a sales executive, and then enjoyed a long, productive retirement. The activities he enjoyed most were archeology, music memorabilia, and traveling to favorite places such as North Carolina, Nashville, and Mexico.
Jim is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Helen Sadler; his son Scott Rice (Brenda); grandchildren Jeffrey Raycher, Amanda Gray, and Randy Rice, as well as several great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sons Wayne (Kim) and Daniel.
An event to remember Jim will be scheduled at a place and time yet to be determined.
