James Park will be honored through his digital memorial. Please share a kind message, a memory, or picture to help his family and friends rejoice in his life.
James Russell Park, also known as Rusty, was born in Richmond, Kentucky to Walter and Lucy Park on January 16th, 1955. He graduated from Oneida Baptist Institute in Oneida Kentucky.
He married Margo Park in the St. Augustine Chapel in Lexington, Kentucky on June 24th, 1978, and went on to have two sons, James C. Park and Andrew C. Park.
He worked as an IT professional for Tropicana in Bradenton, FL for over 30 years. He continued to work as an IT consultant for a number of clients before retiring from the field.
Rusty was incredibly intelligent. He was able to solve any problem he faced. He was able to succeed at anything he set his mind to. He was a dedicated and loving father who always made sure his boys were taken care of. He worked extremely hard to do whatever was necessary to provide a great life and stable home for his family.
Even though Rusty never had a good father figure in his life, he was able to be an incredible father to his boys through letting his heart lead the way. He was able to pass his love for animals, movies, music, nature, and the knack for problem solving onto his boys. His legacy will continue to be honored when shared with Rusty’s grandchildren.
Rusty was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother, Walter Park, Lucy Park, and Walter H. Park (June bug).
Rusty is survived by his two sons and their families: James Corey and wife Holly with daughters Charlotte, Maddie, and Robin; as well as Andrew and wife Sarah with daughters Alana, and Veda.
The family of James Russell Park wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all of his kind friends, colleagues, and friendly acquaintances who shared a happy memory with him along his life’s journey. In lieu of sending flowers, please honor Rusty through making a donation in Rusty’s name to help those in need.
