Obituary
James Wayne Williams
United States Navy Retired- Petty Officer First Class
4/30/1954 – 7/4/2019
James Wayne Williams, age 65 ended this journey and began a new on 7/4/2019. He is survived by his wife, Lori Beth Williams, his 2 step-daughters, Bonnie Lynne Irey and Sara Grace Easom, his 4 step-grandchildren, Amber Kai Hughes, Lillith Grace Hughes, Kalel Alexander Lowe and Tessa Rose Lowe, as well as numerous unofficially adopted adult kids, and 2 daughters from a previous marriage.
James was born in San Diego, CA on April 30, 1954. He joined the Navy at the tail end of Vietnam where he spent 20 years of his life serving his country. His retired after Desert Shield as an E6. He served on 3 ships during his career with the Navy; USS Wainwright, USS Horne, and USS Vandergrift.
James and Lori married on June 6, 2006 but were best friends for many, many years before they finally realized they actually loved each other. They shared a passion for camping, drumming, fishing and most of all a passion for riding “Lucille”, their 2012 Harley Davidson, Heritage Softail Classic!
James was always one to help out a friend in need and help out during charity events. When Lori introduced him to the Annual Betty’s Laughing Horse Toy Run for the Central Florida Children’s Home, he was in his element, making sure the kids had a good Christmas as well as donating raffle prizes and money to raise funds for the Children’s Home.
James was quite the jokester and loved to make everyone laugh. He enjoyed spending lots of time with his family, going out on family outings, including the Central Florida Scottish Highland Games and Paralounge Drum Gathering, and he especially enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren!
Though they were once Pap-pap’s Angels, he is now their Angel and will forever watch over them!
