A celebration of life will be held at Grinnell Eagles Club 2-4pm Aug 20th (616 4th Ave, Grinnell, IA 50112).  There will be a private family interment prior at West Liberty Church in Searsboro, Iowa.

Jane was born the daughter of Gerrit and Bertha Wissink in Rock Valley, Iowa on August 20th, 1936. Ned and Jane united in marriage on September 24,1958 prior to leaving for Germany where Ned was stationed in the service. She was a homemaker prior to working many years at GTE in Grinnell. Once she retired, she watched her grandchildren afterschool where they all developed many fond memories on the farm raising cows, horses, chickens, pigeons, goats, rabbits, kittens and more. She loved playing cards with her friends and grandkids as well as attending grandkids sporting events.

Jane is survived by her husband of almost 65 years, Ned Vande Stouwe of Grinnell; a brother Bernie Wissink of Sheldon, IA; two sons Carter (Stephanie) Vande Stouwe of Grinnell; Curtis Vande Stouwe (Mark Sherbrooke) of New Orleans, LA; a daughter in law Lori (Rasmussen) Vande Stouwe of Grinnell; three grandchildren: Casie Vande Stouwe, Briana (Jayson) Gaunt, Oliver Vande Stouwe (Vinita Singh), all of Grinnell; three great-grandchildren: Myla Kurk, Metteya Kelso, and Sofiya Gaunt, all of Grinnell. She is preceded in death by a sister Marian Engel, a daughter Sue Vande Stouwe, and a great-grandson Eisac Kurk.
