Obituary

Janet Baker

October 6th, 1951 – July 13th 2022

Janet (Cook) Baker was born on 10/06/1951 in El Paso Texas to her parents James & Betty (Myers) Cook.   Janet was a proud member of the health care industry serving as a nurse’s aide in both residential facilities and home health care.  After her time as a nurse’s aide she finished her career as a medical records clerk for the home health care branch of the Venice Island hospital.

Over the years Janet touched the lives of many people.  Doing for and taking care of others was her life’s mission…nothing made her happier.    She was the kindest, most loving person and dedicated her life to providing and caring for those that were blessed to count her as family or friend.

Janet was predeceased by her parents James & Betty Cook, and her husband Loren (Larry) Baker.  She is survived by: two sisters and one brother; Shara Cook of Englewood, Florida, Linda (Hap) Hicks of Franklin, North Carolina, and Jamie (Deb) Cook of North Port, Florida. Her children; Jason (Amanda) Linneweber of Port Charlotte, Florida, Cory Linneweber of Peru, Indiana, and Tyler (Amy) Linneweber of Newark, New Jersey.  Her stepchildren; Jon (Amy) Baker of Sausalito, California and Jackie Baker of Batavia, Oh. Her grandchildren; Kaitlin (Ryan) Sutten, Sean Evans, Cassidy (Cid) Condolucci, Bryan Evans, Sean Beasley, Mason Linneweber, Jacob Linneweber, and Harper Linneweber.

In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the Animal Welfare League of Charlotte County, Florida.   There will be a memorial service held at the Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society at 1100 El Jobean Rd. Dear Jason, while I did not have the privilege of meeting your mom, she sounds like she made a wonderful impact with her life. She is a great example we can all learn from. You are blessed. My family extends our thoughts and prayers to you and yours
