Obituary

On February 9th, 2020, Janet Musselman Giordano died peacefully surrounded by her family at the age of 80. Born August 29, 1939, in Sellersville, PA., She was the daughter of Lamar Sisco Musselman and Bertha Elizabeth Weidemoyer. Janet attended John Bartram High School in Philadelphia. She worked as a realtor in residential real estate for numerous years prior to her retirement.

She was the loving and devoted wife for 47 years to the late Samuel Giordano. She was the mother of three beautiful daughters; Sharon Anderson, Lisa Fitz-Gerald (Spouse, Stephen Fitz-Gerald), and Linda Sarkis (Spouse, Henry J. Sarkis, III), as well as seven grandchildren; Ashley Fitz-Gerald Matlack (Spouse, Chris Matlack), Megan Fitz-Gerald Osborn (Spouse, Dexter Osborn), Scott Anderson, Samuel Donald, Jonathan Donald, Alfred Giordano-Paylor and Zackary Sarkis.  In addition, she had four great grandchildren; Hayden Osborn, Rae Osborn, Cade Matlack, and Harper Matlack. She was the sister of Caroline Conlan, (Spouse, Christopher Conlan) Loretta Heneks and the late Joan Stewart, Kathleen Rosenblum, and James Musselman .

Janet was known for her quick wit and her kind and compassionate spirit. The eternal optimist, she always had a smile on her face and loved to make people laugh.  She could brighten any room with her presence. Her daughters were her pride and joy and she was very involved with their extracurricular activities in school and church as they grew up. She enjoyed making clothes for her daughters including everything from prom to wedding dresses.  She had a huge heart and through the years took anyone who needed refuge into her home. Janet was very creative and loved taking different types of art classes. She loved dancing, laying in the sun, going to the casino, playing Pinochle, driving her red convertible Mustang, and travelling with her loved ones.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and the imprint of her love will be carried with them forever.

We are remembering Janet Giordano with a contribution to https://www.facebook.com/GRBBRescue/  or https://grbbrescue.org/

Grizzly Ranch and Florida Black Bear Rescue was very dear to Moms heart. This is a non profit organization that was founded by Dexter and Megan Osborn, Janet’s granddaughter. They are close to opening to the public in the spring. Their long term plan is to have a camp for children who were burned and also help troubled teens by teaching them about the animals, what to feed the animals and help build habitats.

No words describe the emptiness I feel in my heart. You were more than my Mom, you were my best friend. We have had so many fun trips together. From spending a few days in Key West to traveling around the world on 5 cruises in 6 years. We climbed the falls in Jamaica, bought cigars in Cuba and jet skied in the Bahamas. Now you’re on the greatest adventure of all time. We love you and will miss you until we meet again.

    Love Always
    Lisa

There are no words to describe the emptiness I feel in my heart. I want to thank you for the wonderful life you and Dad made sure we had. Nothing can take away my memories of all our vacations to the beach with all our cousins. All the fun times going camping. I will especially cherish the time we spent on the cruises the last 6 years. We always laughed and had fun.
