Obituary

Janet Louise Howard, 69, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on April 7, 2018 at Lee Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 12, 1948 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to Henry and Gladys (Downs) Towne.  She grew up in Andover, MA and spent the majority of her life in Derry, NH raising her two children David and Debora Howard.  Janet worked as a Mutual Teller Supervisor at the Naples/Fort Myers Greyhound Track.  She enjoyed gardening, card games, candlepin bowling, and spending time with friends and family. Janet was a loving, fun, and vibrant person that will be missed by many.  Janet is survived by her son, David Howard and his wife Stephanie of Derry, NH; her daughter, Debora Howard of Cape Coral, FL; grandsons, Kenneth Howard of Woburn, MA;  Kyle Durkee of Lehigh Acres, FL; Collin Howard of Derry, NH and Joseph of  FL; granddaughters, Morgan Howard of Derry, NH and  Courtney Rollins of Miami, FL; her brother, Alan Towne of Concord, NH; and her best friends, Karen and Tom Rossi of Fremont, NH.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday April 20, 2018 at 12:30PM; Sabatino’s North – 1 East Broadway, Derry, NH.
