Janice LaVenture passed away Thursday, August 22 at the Cornerstone Hospice House in the Villages, Florida.

Janice was born July 23, 1947 in Crow Lake Township, Minnesota. She is the daughter of the late Thelma (Ovidai) and Gilbert Kornelius Johnson. Janice was the beloved wife of 50 years to Wayne M. LaVenture.

Janice worked in newspaper sales in St. Paul-Minneapolis and was a homemaker. Janice enjoyed bike riding, walking, going to the gym, yard work, caring for plants, feeding the birds and dining out. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Besides her loving husband, Wayne; she is survived by her brother Clifford Johnson of Redwood Falls, Minnesota, her niece Diane Johnson of Hudson, Wisconsin, seven brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a celebration of Janice’s life on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 1-3 PM in the Activity Center at Holiday RV Village, 28229 CR 33, Leesburg, FL 34748. Memorial Service by Pastor David Rosenau starts at 1 PM with visitation following.
