Obituary

Jan was truly a “people person” and brought joy to innumerable lives through her many roles as beauty and health consultant, minister, and friend.  She always had a kind word and worked tirelessly to improve the lives of others.  Jan relished her role as mother and instilled God’s love and charity in her four children:  Mark Knutson (Watsonville, CA), John Knutson (Prescott, WI), Paul Knutson (Orchard, CO), and Kristin Knutson (Stoughton, WI), all of whom have carried Jan’s spirit in their lives.                      Jan was a loving grandmother to West & Ayla, Benjamin, Kohl & Kassidy, and Danny & Stephen and relished the time she spent with them.  She always put family first and was like a mother to her daughters-in-law & son-in-law.   As the founder of Jan’s Personal Image Consultants, she helped people feel their best by looking their best and brought a glow to countless bridal parties.  It was only natural for her to extend this impulse to personal health, where she helped so many people heal through encouraging a healthy diet and nutrition.  This spirit of compassion led Jan to take up her cross even higher by becoming a minister and preaching to the sick, the faithful, and the poor of spirit.   Nine years ago, Jan moved to New Smyrna Beach, FL and met the love of her life, Fred Schieber.  They only recently celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary.  The family would like to express their utmost gratitude to Fred (who called Jan “Janice”) who has lovingly cared for her the past two months.  She is also survived by her siblings Dale Kjensrud, Jerry Kjensrud, Jimmy Kjensrud, Pam Murphy & Cindy Christenson.   The family is requesting donations in Janice’s memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation at www.pancreaticcancerfoundation.com/donate.

Dear Family, I am so sorry to just find out about your loss. Jan helped "color" my sister and me for a wedding, helped my mom Joyce Rowe of Oregon, WI (who passed away Jan. 2011) with make-up, clothes, choosing the right eyeglasses, etc. She was a joy to work with and to know. She always brought a smile to my mom's face. Regards, Gretchen

I am so very sorry for your lost. Jan was an amazing woman who opened her heart and her home to her loved ones. Jan loved her family so very much. She spoke to me of her sister, her children and grandchildren. When she met Fred, the love of her life, she couldn't stop talking about him. I would go up to New Smyrna Beach on my monthly visits to stay with her and I could tell that by the glow on her face that she was happy.

I will miss you my friend!

    Nancy

Dear Family, I am so very sorry about the loss of your dear loved one. May the thought at Job 33:25 give you comfort in knowing that Mrs. Knutson-Schieber will return to the days of her youth and be able to enjoy life without the infirmities of old age. My sincere condolences to you.
