Jean Louise Bradbury (Ham) 78, of Ponce Inlet, Florida passed away on April 3, 2022.  Jean was born on February 15, 1944 in Englewood, New Jersey to the late John and Edith Ham.  Her husband of 58 years, Byron Bradbury, passed away in 2020.

She was predeceased by her beloved sister and brother, Elsa (Missy) Ham (1956) and Larry Ham (2020).

She is survived by her daughter Robin Hansen and her husband Kurt, as well as her son Ryan Bradbury and his wife, Melissa.  Jean is also survived by her grandchildren, Jessica LaRusso, Allie Hansen, and Madison and Harrison Bradbury.  In addition, she is survived by her two great-grandsons, Cameron and Cody LaRusso.

Jean spent many wonderful years with her husband Byron at their homes in Ponce Inlet, Florida, West Milford, New Jersey, and Upstate New York. She loved spending time with family.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy.  She also enjoyed dancing and listening to bands at the local restaurants in Ponce Inlet, Florida.

Jean’s favorite motto in life was, “When you get the chance to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance.”

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Jean and I go back to the 50's. For a few years I was in school in IOWA and was home in the summers. By and I would do some artwork in the basement and Jean would always invite me up for dinner. What delicious roasts she used to make. Wonderful dinners all the time. She was a great cook. When the property of 18 acres was purchased in NY she did all the cooking for all of us, even including everyone that came up there at the time. (A lot of continuous work) By and a few others did a lot of RC flying in NY and the field was perfect for hand launches. Many people played cards later in the evening and had a lot of fun. Ryan and Robin came up often to be with By and Jean and enjoyed the country air and farm activities. I loved them both. A candle is lit for by every March 26 and Jean will be remembered with one also. They are together once again and I was a blessed person for having all these years together with them.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Mom. She was such a blessing to me. I know how much she missed her dear Husband. Heaven gained an Angel and now Byron and her are joined again for all of eternity.

When I turned 40… she told me my life would change and get so much better because that’s when you stopped giving a sh*t about what anyone else thought about you! I loved that conversation! She was So right, too! It was great wisdom.
